What To Do When Your Skin Reacts To A Product

It can be difficult to know what to do when your skin has an unexpected reaction to a product. 1. Identify the product causing the reaction

Often when you've had a reaction to a product, you just instinctively know the culprit responsible, but if you don't know straightaway, start to eliminate products gradually until you identify the problem causer.

If you experience more severe reactions such as swelling or difficulty breathing, you should seek urgent and immediate medical attention.

2. Apply a cold compress

Skin reactions can leave your skin feeling hot and looking red. A cold compress can provide an instant soothing action, whilst also reducing redness.Cold constricts the blood vessels so that less blood goes to the surface of the skin, therefore helping to reduce inflammation and swelling.

3. Ditch your 'active cleanser'
