Background and context

Face the Future Online Ltd is one of the UK’s leading online retailers of cosmeceutical skin care products. Our passion and expertise in skin started in 2005 with our clinic and in 2008, the Face the Future online shop was born. Our online shop allows us to provide comprehensive home-treatment products to improve skin and make it the best it can be. As an authorised stockist of hundreds of skincare brands, we are in the unique and fortunate position to be able to offer our customers a completely bespoke service with the very best and most effective products, tailored to their skin concerns, skin goals and budget.
Purpose/Summary
Reporting to the Head of Brand Relations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of brands we sell or wish to sell, via our online store. Establishing and continually developing mutually beneficial, collaborative working relationships with all the brands that we sell. Acting as the conduit between the business and responsible brands, with accountability for monitoring brand relationships and taking appropriate action to ensure continued growth including increased demand, sales etc. Responsible for identifying and onboarding new brands including market and competitor analysis and working with new brands to ensure a successful launch. Also responsible for identifying and recommending brand removal.
Key Accountabilities
1. To be the conduit between the business and brands, building strong positive relationships and working collaboratively with your allocated brands and their representatives.
2. To manage and set expectations with your allocated brands, understanding fully what is possible by working closely with the content and e-commerce teams.
3. To support Senior Brand Manager in the creation and delivery of our brand strategy, ensuring this supports the achievement of the overall business strategy.
4. To lead on brand specific plans, presenting these plans to brands and working collaboratively to ensure these are delivered.
5. To work with the Assistant Brand Manager and support the stock ordering process, ensuring stock is ordered in line with suggested purchase orders, minimum order values/quantities and that accurate delivery is received. Support with the follow up required for any delivery issues.
6. To work with other members of the wider team ensuring stock ordering is in line with brand plans and promotions and that opportunities to work with affiliates and influencers are identified and agreed with brands.
7. To carry out brand analysis (demand, exposure etc.) and continually identify opportunities for growth and developing our relationships with existing brands and new brands.
8. To review and negotiate the commercial terms for existing brands you are responsible for and, with the support of the Senior Brand Manager, ensure we are maximising profit and marketing support.
9. To make contact with new brands as agreed with the Senior Brand Manager and negotiate, with the support of the Senior Brand Manager, the commercial terms for brands including margin, marketing support, exclusive deals, brand requirements etc.
10. To work with colleagues to identify affiliate opportunities and agree these with brands.
11. To research, review and understand what our competitors are doing with brands and identifying learnings and opportunity to differentiate our brand approach.
12. To report monthly on the effectiveness of our brand relationships, including growth/decline in sales, exposure, demand, concerns about the relationship etc and make recommendations for future actions for each brand.
13. To work with the Senior Brand Manager and lead on agreed allocated onboarding plans for any new brands and work in partnership with them to ensure a successful launch.
14. To be responsible for liaising with existing brands on new product launches, arranging logistics including but not limited to product descriptions, imagery, launch materials, marketing support for launch.
15. To support with the implementation and the ongoing management of our box strategy, including our annual Beauty Boxes, quarterly themed boxes and any other boxes we bring on board to support our growth and new customer acquisition strategies.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Degree or equivalent working experience
· Experience managing external supplier relationships
· Experience of creating brand plans and implementing and maintaining these
· Experience of building mutually beneficial relationships and maximising sales
· Retail experience (ideally in Health and Beauty)
· Ability to sell the Face the Future brand, ensuring new brands want to work with us
· Ability to negotiate commercial terms, promotional support and exclusive deals with brands
· Ability to be open to and be able to develop new and creative ideas
· Ability to analyse and present data
· Commercial acumen with the ability to understand what action is needed to succeed
· Project management skills and understanding how to manage and prioritise multiple stakeholders in a complex environment in order to deliver results
· Excellent communication and writing skills
· Ability to put the customer at the heart of all we do
· Proactive and ability to make a difference
· Ability to make difficult decision and problem solve
· Flexibility in terms of role, supporting the wider business
· Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, bank holidays and evenings
Desirable:
· Experience of working with affiliates
· Experience of working in the cosmeceuticals industry

· Understand the cosmeceutical industry and buying motivators specifically in relation to the Face the Future brand and industry
· Passionate about the world of cosmeceuticals and keeping abreast of changes within the industry
