Tried and Tested by You: Image I Conceal Foundation
As you know, here at Face the Future we like to try out as many as our products as we can to ensure we can offer you impartial, personal and honest recommendations. However, if youâre anything like me, youâll ask all your friends and trawl the internet for reviews to get a few opinions on a product before committing to buy, so sometimes we like to ask you to become our product testers too. After all, you guys know what you want and can be tough critics! So, we decided to give the Image Skincare I Conceal Foundation a run for its money.
The people at Image have created a flawless, full coverage foundation that masks any imperfections while still allowing skin to look like skin. The non-comedegenic, mineral formula makes it great for even sensitive and problematic skins. As someone with a spot-prone skin and a severe make-up addiction, I like to wear a full coverage on most days but hate the feeling of a thick heavy layer that clogs my skin and ends up looking cakey throughout the day. When I found out about I Conceal, I was dying to give it a try to see if I had finally found the base of my dreams. It applied smoothly, blended beautifully, and provided a good amount of coverage with a satin finish. I love this product, but donât just take my word for it. âIâm in love! The finish is flawless, the colour match is perfect and I no longer need any powder. I donât get any shine even after hours of wear! It is lightweight and leaves my skin feeling great. âI initially thought the product looked a little dark for my skin tone whilst it was in the pot. I began blending it into my face using the brush and found it blended well. The product was a lot thicker than the products I usually use but it gave a good even coverage and covered any blemishes and pigmentation well. After applying it, I was surprised that it didnât look too dark and did not give the âorange effectâ that some darker foundations can. It left a dewy glow to my skin and looked fresh. I applied bronzer and contouring powder over the top and they applied well and did not stick to the foundation. The product sat well on my skin and lasted all day long. When I came to wash it off in the evening I found I had to wash my face several times to remove it, so itâs very durable too!â Rachael, Harrogate
âThe foundation applied to a nice, even, smooth finish and didnât feel heavy or greasy. You didnât need to use a large amount to get a good amount of coverage to the whole face. The shade Suede was perfect match to my skin tone and it made my skin have a nice smooth feel to it. It didnât clog my pores or sit heavy on my wrinkles around the eyes, which is rare for a high coverage product. I like that it didnât make my face look shiny, yet still gave me a more youthful, glowing look. I loved the fact that it lasted all day and still looked good, perfect for a busy day at work.
